Drg drsya viveka- verses 36 to 40

HARIH  OM

Drg  drsya  viveka-  verses  36  to  40

The  vyavaharika  jiva  is  none  other  than  the  consciousness  reflected  in the  projected  mind. . The  jiva  goes  on  to  do  punya  and  papa  karmas  and  becomes  the  doer  and  enjoyer   while being  in  the body-mind  complex. . This  jiva  experiences  pleasure  and  pain  while  being  in the  world  which  consists  of  the  five  elements.  and  their  products. . The  jiva  has  chosen  to  identify  with  the  chidabhasa.  The  waker  jiva  is  involved  in all  transactions  with  the  world   like  the  dreamer  transacts  in the  dream  world. . There  are  gradations  of  Reality  ,even  though  both  are  projections  only. . The  dream  world  does  not  have  empirical  reality  ,so  no  transactions  can  take  place. . The  dream  experience  is  real  only  to  a  dreamer  ,so  it  has  only  subjective  reality.

To  the  vyavaharika  jiva  the  dream  is  a  mithya  upon  waking  up. . When  the  jiva  wakes  up  to  his  real  nature  ,  he  comes  to  know  that  like  the  dream  world  ,this  waking  world  too  is  a  mithya  .. He  will  consider  this  waking  world  as  real  only  as  long  as  he  is  in  ignorance  of  his  real  nature. . When  a  jnani  wakes  to  his  real  nature  , the  world  does  not  disappear  instantaneously  . Due  to  the  powers of  his  prarabda  karma  ,the  world  will  continue  to  be  there  but  he  will  not get  affected  by  whatever  happens  to  him. .as  he  will  not  give any  reality  to  the  world . The  Bhagavad  Geeta  says  that  their  intellect  being  absorbed  in  That  ,  their  Self  being  That  ,established  in  That  ,  with  That  for  their  supreme  goal  ,  the  jnanis  go  from  where  there  is  no  return  ,  their  sins  dispelled  by  knowledge. The  jnani  becomes  a  jivan  mukta
