Jiva jagat and Isvara -part 5

HARIH  OM

The  journey  of  the  seeker  is  to  travel  back  from  ahankara  bhava  to  jivatma  bhava  to  paramatma  bhava. .  When  the  individual  operates  from  ahankara   bhava  ,  he  comes  to  depend   emotionally  on  the  world  for  his  peace,  happiness  and  security.   Just  as  a  dreamer  does  not  know  he  is  the  waker  ,who  has  created  the  dream  world  and  that  he  himself  enters  the  dream  world  and  becomes  the  dream  experiencer  .  The  dream  experiencer  is  none  other  that  the  waker  creator. . After  waking  up  from  his  dream  ,  the  waker  does  not  say  somebody  else  had  experienced  the  dream   but  he  says  that  he  was  the  one  who  had  the  particular  dream  experience  and  I  am  the  waker  now.   Similarly,  the  creator  Paramatma  is  the  same  as  this  enclosed  Paramatma  ,the  experiencer  jivatma. and  the  jivatma  forgets  this  Truth  because  of  the  avarana  sakti  of  Maya.

This  jivatma  after  enquiry  into  the  nature  of  the  Self  through  Atma-anatma  viveka  ,comes  to  understand  that  the  various  roles  he  plays  are  merely  roles  and that  he  is  different  from  all the  roles  he  plays  .  He  understands  that  he  is  akarta,  abhokta  and  that  all  actions  are  done  by the  body  , mind ,sense  complex and  not  by  the  Atma.   Atma-anatma  viveka  is  the  only  method  to  solve  his  problem  of  samsara.   He  then  starts  his  Vedantic  enquiry  by  approaching  a  competent  Guru and  goes  through  the   consistent  and  systematic  study  of  the  scriptures  consisting   of  the  Prasthana  trayam (  the  Upanishads  ,  the  Brahma  sutras  and  the  Srimad  Bhagavad  Geeta  are  called  the  Prasthana  trayam ). Through  the  study  of  the  scriptures  for  long  many  years  ,  he  comes  to  become  aware  of  the  fact  that  he  is  not  the  seer,  hearer  , thinker  ,they  are  actions  done  by  the  senses,  body  and  mind.  He  also  understands  that  he  is  not  a  father,  grandfather  , or  son  to  anyone in  reality. They  are  only  temporary  relationships  maintained  at  the  transaction  level  and  not  from  the  Absolute  standpoint.  He  is  in  reality  the  Sakshi  Chaitanyam  -a  silent  witness  to  all  the  roles  he plays.
